What is the standard pallet size?
There is no single worldwide standard. North America commonly uses 48 × 40 in, the UK commonly uses 1200 × 1000 mm, Euro / EPAL 1 is 1200 × 800 mm, and the Australian format is 1165 × 1165 mm.
Is a UK pallet the same as a Euro pallet?
No. A common UK footprint is 1200 × 1000 mm, while Euro / EPAL 1 is 1200 × 800 mm. The UK rectangle uses 25% more floor area.
How does the floor estimator work?
It divides each clear space side by the corresponding pallet side, keeps whole pallets only, and tests both straight and 90-degree orientations. It does not model weight, doors, access or safety rules.
Are PalletGauge results loading advice?
No. PalletGauge provides reference dimensions and simple geometry. Actual pallets, clearances, cargo, equipment, restraints, carrier rules and legal requirements must be checked separately.
